Panels & Systems

The UNITY fire-rated rainscreen panel is produced using a solid aluminium substrate that can be fitted as either a cassette or as a flat faced panel fixed onto an appropriately designed support framework. The range includes a flat, through fix panel, a discrete fix cassette, a secret fix ‘hook-on’ cassette plus either folded or extruded plank systems. Metalline’s CLAD-LINE framing system offers support options for each panel within the UNITY range. From standard T and L rails with supporting brackets to the innovative Floor 2 Floor Framing System, Metalline can provide full system solutions for both new build and remediation projects.

Testing & Certification

All UNITY systems have undergone rigorous testing to CWCT standards plus reaction to fire testing to EN13501-1. Our anodised or pre-coated aluminium options provide A1 rated solutions while powder coated aluminium provides an A2-s1,d0 reaction to fire classification. UNITY powder coated panels have been tested in accordance with EN1301-1 as close as possible to their end use application. This certification covers powder coated aluminium fixed back to aluminium profiles with horizontal and vertical joints, the appropriate ventilation space plus a mineral wool substrate.

Structural Performance

Finishes

Anodised Aluminium (A1 classification to EN13501-1) – All anodised finishes available with a lifetime finish warranty. Anodised finishes require little if any maintenance.

Pre-coated Aluminium (A1 classification to EN13501-1) – All RAL colours plus special finishes available in either a PVdF or HDPUR finish. Pre-coated aluminium can be subject to minimum order quantities and comes with up to a 40-year project specific coating warranty. Periodic maintenance will be required as part of the finish warranty.

Powder Coated Aluminium (A2-s1,d0 classification to EN13501-1) – Powder coating offers a durable and versatile finish to an aluminium rainscreen panel. Available in all RAL colours plus special finishes including woodgrain, stone and corten effect. Up to 40-year project specific coating warranties are available and maintenance will be required as part of the finish warranty.
