ANOLOK ANODISING

Our preferred aluminium grade for producing an anodised finish is J57S UP. Due to the surface changes induced by the anodising process, making the aluminium porous, a sealing step is essential for corrosive resistance, with Metalline employing the ANOLOK anodising system for this purpose. This system not only enhances the natural abilities of aluminum but also delivers a contemporary finish with exceptional corrosion endurance. Incorporating multiple patterns enriches the natural metallic appearance without compromising the overall UV resistance of the aluminum cladding. Available colours include Natural Silver, Bronzes 541 to 549, Regency Gold 1 & 2, Black, and specialist ANOLOK anodising II Blue-Grey and Stone-Grey finishes.

PPC ALUMINIUM (Polyester Powder Coating)

Metalline’s PPC aluminium products are renowned for their functionality and are available in every RAL or BS colour, offering a versatile range. Polyester powder coating, an alternative to traditional liquid paint, is applied electrostatically to architectural fabrications and cured under heat to form a protective ‘skin’. This process ensures an even finish for fabrications of any size and shape. Specifically designed for external use, polyester powder coating provides a durable, hard finish that surpasses normal paint, offering strong corrosion resistance for long-lasting performance. Choosing PPC aluminium guarantees a superior finish, eliminating imperfections like drips common in painted finishes, and ensuring outstanding colour retention in outdoor exposure with heightened weather resistance. Notably, PPC aluminium is an environmentally friendly choice, recognised for its energy and material efficiency compared to other colouring techniques.

STONE EFFECT CLADDING

Our range of exterior Stone Effect Cladding offers a wider selection of decorative finishes providing a more visionary approach to the appearance of external walls. The stone effect is achieved by using a Polyester Powder Coated finish, which imitates the appearance and textures of natural stone. Visually indistinguishable from natural stone cladding panels, the stone effect finish not only offers an aesthetically pleasing substitute but also presents numerous cost-saving advantages.

BRONZE EFFECT CLADDING

Our Bronze cladding effect can be achieved through two processes one method is anodising the other is through a specialist Polyester Powder Coated coating. These versatile processes enhance enable a wide spectrum of colours and textures to be applied to the aluminium. In addition to providing a contemporary finish to a facade, our Bronze cladding effect benefits from incomparable corrosion and abrasion resistance and is available in a number of dark brown shades and finishes such as: Pale Umber 541 | Umber 543 | Dark Umber 545 | Bronze 547 | Dark Bronze 549.

CORTEN CLADDING EFFECT

Our corten cladding effect is the perfect alternative to the rust like appearance of weathering steel (corten). Corten Steel is created by combining a mixture of steels and alloys. It is this combination that creates its unique rusting properties as well as its distinctive appearance. As a result, Corten Steel is commonly used in outdoor applications or environments where normal steel would be inclined to rust.

We can replicate the natural oxidised appearance of Corten Steel using our polyester powder coating process. The deep copper and dark brown tones of the powder coated finish layered over a textured surface creates an almost identical resemblance to natural corten.

PATINA COPPER CLADDING EFFECT

Utilising our specialist Polyester Powder Coating process, we can skillfully replicate the distinctive oxidised appearance of copper cladding patina. Our innovative approach involves creating a striking and contemporary alternative by employing aluminium, offering a multitude of additional benefits. The copper’s natural corrosion process, developing a blue/green patina surface when exposed to sulphur and oxide compounds, is a distinct characteristic that sets it apart. Achieving the patina effect through a polyester powder coated finish, our process expertly imitates the textures and appearance of this natural copper transformation, providing both visual appeal and functional benefits.
